The Virtual Freelancer is the culmination of more than three decades of experience in managing print and online media projects. During that tenure, owner and entrepreneur Steve Storts has developed and produced more than 25,000 pages of published content.
Not surprising, he has witnessed an evolution in the publishing industry. From typewriters and drafting tables to the computer desktop to the Internet, Storts has seen it all. But traditional values haven’t changed. Quality work, affordable rates, and personal service are the hallmark of this freelancer. His turnkey business, cultivated through two former freelance ventures, is results-focused with an emphasis in conceptualization, design, and project development and management.
His scope of freelance projects has addressed, but is not limited to, engineering, construction, science, technology, higher education development, industry, legislative issues, regulatory policies, energy, transportation, new product research and development, biographical and historical perspectives, and small business entrepreneurs and commercial ventures.
Always seeking new business challenges, Storts observes, “As a freelance contractor, customer service is first and foremost. It’s my obligation to value what a customer wants to share with others. My method is very simple: I take an idea and make it reality.”
As a personal note, Storts has been a traveler and adventurer for several decades. He considers himself most fortunate to have traveled through all but two states in America, in addition to traversing Australia, Mexico, and parts of Central and South America, Canada, and the Caribbean.

When I created The Virtual Freelancer, I wanted to shy away from the more traditional posting of a resume and focus more on helping potential customers feel at ease in working with a freelance contractor. However, if interested, my resume can be viewed here. Other pertinent information regarding my background and experience is visible throughout this Website. I am also listed in past editions of Strathmore’s Who’s Who, Who’s Who Worldwide, and Who’s Who Registry of Business Leaders.
